About Us

House of Nizams – A Royal Taste of Home for Indian-Canadians

More than just a restaurant.
House of Nizams is a revival of the legendary Nizami kitchens of Hyderabad—re-imagined for today's Indian-Canadian community. We understand the longing for authentic home flavors that every Indian-Canadian feels, and we're here to fulfill those cravings.

  • Royal Indian Kitchen – biryanis layered with 92 spices, kebabs kissed by charcoal, breakfasts that taste like home.
  • Authentic Home Flavors – traditional recipes passed down through generations, bringing the taste of India to Canada.
  • Community Connection – a place where Indian-Canadians can reconnect with their culinary heritage and share memories over authentic meals.

Our Story

From Nizam Palaces to Markham

Our founders grew up on the aromas that drifted from Nizam palaces: copper handis simmering, spices dancing in hot oil, and the warmth of family gatherings around traditional meals. After moving to Canada, we missed that unmistakable comfort—the kind that turns meals into celebrations and strangers into family.

So we laid new foundations—brick by brick, arch by arch—in Toronto, Ontario, to bring that royal heritage back to life. Every plate we serve carries a century of stories and the authentic taste of home that every Indian-Canadian craves.
